As a specialist operator, Astraeus Airlines provides aircraft anywhere in the world with flexible terms to meet short and long term requirements. Astraeus Airlines specialises in providing a lease that meets the strategic needs of the customer and offers a range of Wet (full crew), Damp (pilots' only, local cabin crew) or Dry lease options. Current ACMI customers include bmi, Iceland Express, Ghana International Airlines, Palmair, Trawel Fly, Elite Aviation and Aerosur.
Previous customers include Monarch Airlines, Aer Lingus, Saudi Arabia Airlines, Daallo Airlines, Thomas Cook Airlines, Seagle Air, Sterling Airlines, FlyMe, Intercontinental Airways, Air Italy Polska, FlyBe, British Airways, RAK Airways and Air Asia.
In the winter of 2008 Astraeus flew on behalf of Intercontinental Airways operating the Hajj Pilgrimage based in Banjul. Summer 09 saw us operate an extensive programme out of Manchester on behalf of Monarch Airlines. In October 09 we operated on behalf of Saudi Arabian Airlines operating Hajj Pilgrim flights based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Subject to availability, aircraft can be mobilised very quickly and can be provided with full crew or partial. There is a whole range of technical support that can accompany the unit and it has been a standard practice to provide on station technical support.
Astraeus has years of experience in oil support related flying which has provided great experience in operations from remote places; this is invaluable knowledge when it comes to technical reliability and operational support.
There is a wide range of options available for ACMI operations and these include the use of local cabin crew, lessee livery and configuration choice. Our fleet page has an extensive amount of technical information on our fleet and some sample aircraft configurations.
